How to Use BDO Craft Helper
BDO Craft Helper answers one question: with the ingredients I have right now, what can I actually cook or brew, and how many times? Instead of cross-checking recipes one by one, you add your inventory and the tool surfaces every cooking and alchemy recipe you can make. This guide walks through each part of the tool.
Adding your inventory by hand
Use the search bar at the top of the Your Inventory panel. Type an ingredient or meal name — English or Turkish both work — pick it from the dropdown, set a quantity, and press Add. The item counter updates as you go.
You can add as many items as you like. Each row can be edited or removed later, so it is fine to rough things in and adjust the numbers afterwards.
Importing a screenshot with the scanner
Typing out a full inventory is slow, so the tool can read a screenshot instead. Open your in-game inventory, take a screenshot, then drop the image onto the Scan area (or click Scan from Screenshot and choose the file). The scanner recognises the item icons and stack counts and fills your inventory automatically.
- A scan usually takes 30–90 seconds because the image recognition runs on a small self-hosted server — do not refresh the page while it works, or the request restarts from scratch.
- Detection is in beta: glance over the imported list and fix anything misread before you calculate.
- The scan button only appears when the scanner backend is online.
Calculating what you can craft
Press Calculate Crafts. The tool checks every cooking and alchemy recipe in its database against your inventory and lists the ones you can make right now under Direct Craftable Recipes. Each card shows the materials a single craft needs, the maximum number of times you can make it with your current stock, and the total EXP that full batch would grant.
Reading recursive / chained crafts
Some recipes need an ingredient you do not have — but that you could make from other things already in your inventory. The Recursive / Chained Crafts panel surfaces exactly those.
Example: you have no Flour, but you do have the Wheat to grind into Flour, and that Flour completes a meal recipe. The tool follows those chains so you find crafts you would otherwise miss when scanning the recipe list by eye.
Sorting and favourites
Switch the sort between Max Amount (the recipes you can craft the most times first) and Total EXP (the best experience first) to match your goal — stockpiling food versus levelling the skill.
Star the recipes you cook most often and they stay pinned at the top, so your go-to crafts are always one glance away.
Handy tips
- Your inventory is saved locally in your browser, so it is still there when you come back — no account needed.
- Use the tool before a cooking session to plan a Marketplace shopping list, or after a gathering run to see what your fresh materials can become.
- Spotted a missing or wrong recipe? The Feedback button sends it straight to the maintainer.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. Everything runs in your browser, your inventory is stored locally, and nothing requires you to sign in.
Why does the scan take so long?
The image recognition runs on a small self-hosted server rather than a large cloud farm, so a scan takes about 30–90 seconds. Accuracy improves as more screenshots are processed.
Is the recipe list complete?
It covers the cooking and alchemy recipes in the database, which grows over time. If you spot something missing or wrong, use the Feedback button.
